From June 18 - November 21, Fondation Pierre Gianadda in Martigny will showcase an important survey of Nicolas de Staël's work spanning his most successful years between 1945 and 1955, and also his final years. In the beginning of the 1940's, de Stael decided to break with the figurative while creating his own codes, far from radical abstraction with a very personal use of the matter. This exhibition presents a hundred works from museums and private collections worldwide by the French master of Russian origins.
