LVMH, the world's largest luxury goods manufacturer, is to open two additional luxury hotels, in Egypt and Oman, under the "Cheval Blanc" brand, named after the famous vineyard LVMH controls.
The Egyptian development is on a private island of Amoun in Aswan, with 40 suites overlooking the Nile, while the Cheval Blanc in Oman is on the island of Al Sodah and includes 32 private villas.
The two hotels are already under construction in Oman and Egypt in partnership with Samih Sawiris, chairman and founder of Egypt’s Orascom Development Holding. They are expected to finished and opened for business in the year 2012.
