The long awaited Kempinski Nile has just opened its doors in Cairo on the banks of the Nile River. Situated in one of the most prestigious locations within the bustling Garden City district of Cairo, the Kempinksi Nile Hotel offers 137 rooms and 54 suites, a spa and health club, private balconies, marble bathrooms, a pillow concierge and a butler service for residents. Guests can chose from four different restaurants, and relax in different bars and lounges.
The hotel is a superb conversion jobby French arhitect Pierre Yves Rochon, responsible for the interiors at the soon-to-reopen The Savoy in London and for parts of the famed George V in Paris.
Although Kempinski is the first of the "Leading Hotels of the World" collection to open in Cairo, it could have competition in the next few years -- fellow high-end brand Rocco Forte plans to open its property there in 2013.
Opening rates at the hotel start from €200 per night including breakfast, valid for stays until the end of September.
