Well-heeled art lovers will soon be able to book a suite featuring some of the world's finest contemporary art, thanks to a new partnership between a London hotel and the city's famous Saatchi Gallery.
Hyatt-owned property The Churchill announced a tie-up with the contemporary art gallery this week which will see the installation of a 'Saatchi Gallery Suite' at the property, available from February 1 to April 30.
The suite, described as "unlike any other space in London," will feature a host of works from the famous gallery, including Ronin Cho's interactive knocking door entitled "We know this but we just don't know how to show it" and Steve Bishop's "Jean-Paul Gaultier - Classique (Arctic Fox)", a sculpture combining a taxidermied fox, concrete and paint inspired by the Gaultier perfume bottle.
In the bathroom, French artist Celine Fitoussi is to provide a "bespoke wall-to-wall soap installation," building on her installation at the Saatchi Gallery's Gallery Mess restaurant.
For those that aren't keen on paying £700 (€840) for a night in the Saatchi Gallery Suite, the rest of the hotel will also play host to a series of exhibitions throughout 2012, perhaps a nod at Asia's Hotel Art Fair, which kicks off at the Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong on February 24.
The first exhibition at The Churchill will be entitled One Giant Leap and is set to open February 1, featuring artists Martin Honert, Chantal Joffe, Christina Mackie, Dexter Dalwood and Stella Vine.
