Workers are putting final touches to the rooms for Marina Bay Sands grand opening on June 23. It has projected visitor numbers to go as high as 80,000 a day.
The Marina Bay Sands Hotel in Singapore has a unique view. Located along the Marina Bay waterfront, Marina Bay Sands hotel features a total of 2,560 rooms and suites housed in the three cascading hotel towers, each with its own unique curves, and topped by an extraordinary Sky Park. Banyan Tree will design and operate the 20,000 square feet Spa and Health Club located on the 55th floor.
Marina Bay Sands will be a leading business, leisure and entertainment destination in Singapore, with an 800,000 square feet shopping mall featuring cutting-edge labels and international luxury brands, theaters debuting with “The Lion King”, trendy restaurants by celebrity chefs including Guy Savoy and Daniel Boulud, night clubs, a Las Vegas-style casino and large and flexible convention and exhibition facilities.

Located at the Marina Bay waterfront, a lotus shaped museum will feature over 60,000 square feet of galleries, both permanent and touring exhibitions. Outside the museum walls, an impressive collection of large-scale art installations by internationally renowned artists including Antony Gormley and Ned Kahn, are part the Marina Bay Sands Art Path, which takes the visitor from the upcoming Bayfront MRT station, through the hotel atrium, retail view corridor and the casino. Other notable art can be found in the hotel rooms and in the property’s interior.
Some 230 luxury suites will be ready by the grand opening on June 23, with the rates starting from about S$800 per night. For the opening period from now till July 31 2010, guests can stay in Marina Bay Sands Hotel from S$359 per room night, including complimentary breakfast and a complimentary room upgrade.
