The Secrets of the Little Black Jacket by Chanel
Chanel is the latest fashion house to lift the lid on its production process, releasing a behind-the-scenes film detailing the work that goes into its famous little black jacket.
Created in the 1950s by the French label's namesake, the iconic style has been reinvented by current creative director Karl Lagerfeld season after season and is the subject of an upcoming book, The Little Black Jacket: Chanel's Classic Revisited which has been penned by Karl Lagerfeld and Carine Roitfeld.
The book, set for release in fall 2012, will include photographs of stars such as Sarah Jessica Parker and Alice Dellal wearing the Chanel jacket. To celebrate these events, the brand has made a short film detailing the attention to detail and numerous steps involved in making the jacket.
